After having my home ruined with hail damage twice, I know what many of you are thinking and going through. You will find a lot of these thoughts on this page and realize you are like many others. Growing up in this business, I knew what to do in my situation, which is what I want to share with you now. The good news is, my house came out better than it was both times and I am sure we will be able to do the same for you.
The first thing that runs across everyone’s mind after the hail storm is "how bad is the damage?" There are many things any homeowner could see that could cause further damage. Some people find a lot of shingle granules on the ground. Others find holes or dents in their siding, windows are cracked and/or broken, fascia or metals have been dented and many other problems that arise increasing concern. The first thing I will look for is the size of hail that came with the storm. Noticeably, neither two pieces of hail are the same size. If any of them appear to be an inch or greater in size, CNC recommends a complete property inspection. Hail of this size can cause serious damage to a shingle and many other things on a property. What many people do not realize is that fact that hail will cause the underside of a shingle to crack or break and holes are rarely seen from the surface of a shingle and especially not seen from the ground.
At CNC, we are willing to give you a free storm damage analysis for your entire property. There are many other forms of hail damage and on different types of roofs and roofing materials which may pose the need for a professional inspection.
We have Haag Certified roofing inspectors and many hail and wind specialists who are specially trained to look at all types of hail and wind damage on any type roofing material.
Perhaps some of the greatest fears are the uncertainties of what could happen to your house if repairs are not made soon, the cost of everything that will need to be fixed and for many, the decision of which contractor should be called. I hope this section will ease many of these fears upon your continued reading. It is rare that a home needs immediate attention before serious problems begin occurring, nevertheless, having CNC come out right away will allow us to identify any potential or actual problems and allow us to fix the problem right away.
